Why it matters
Why removing the watermark takes more than a crop
With text, a watermark is just characters. With images, AI generators often write it into the file itself: provenance manifests, hidden tags and container fields that ordinary editors don't show and don't fully clear.
Smodin removes those fields and rebuilds the image as a new file, so the result no longer carries the metadata that marked it as AI-generated.
